8 weeks old

Well, February was not the easiest for the boys. Easton had a cold for three weeks, and the last week he got a cough to go with it. That was not fun because he would cough so much he would throw up his food and a lot of mucus. It was scary to watch because he didn't look like he could breathe. Isabelle, the girl I watch got RSV, and in turn so did Kenan. Thank goodness Easton's illness never developed into that. During the course of taking the kids to the doctor multiple times, I found out that Easton is growing like crazy. At 6 1/2 weeks old he was already 11 lbs 12 oz. He did slow down on his eating some during this time and his sleep patterns were not as good.
Some new things that have happened during February:1)Easton had his first bottle and did great. This frees mom up to go out a bit more. We enjoyed our first date since Easton was born Valentine's weekend. Although we missed them, it was nice to have some couple time. 2) he started watching the people around him more and even began smiling when you talk to him.

Superbowl Sunday (Feb)

On Superbowl Sunday we had my mom and sister down for a small family party. Kenan likes football a lot so he did watch some of the game. Easton is awake for longer periods of time, so he has his eyes open in a number of these photos. Kenan loves to play with Easton(even though he can't do anything), so I know it will be fun when they are older.

Snow Days (last week of Jan)

The last week in January going into the 1st week of February, we had a big ice storm here in the Tristate. Because of that, Nick was home from school for four days. We went out in the snow a couple of times to sled and just have fun. Easton is too small to join us of course, so he is not in any of these pictures. Kenan likes sledding, he just gets cold too fast. By the time we get to the hill and go done a time or two, he is ready to go home.
