For the past two weeks Easton has done really well with his sleep. I have started putting him down for the night around 10:30 and he normally sleeps until 7 or 8. He occasionally will still wake up around 4:30, but that has become less frequent each day. I am looking forward to spending a bit more quality time with the boys. Since Easton has been born, Nick has had basketball and I had drama. They are both finally over and we are in our off season. We love what we do, but are glad for the break as well. This past week Easton has started laughing some when he smiles at you. He is also drooling now and he chews on his hands constantly. Another thing that he has started doing is holding and recognizing his toys more. I think Kenan likes this.
Originally we started this blog to follow the life of our second child, but now it is a chronicle of our family's life.

Peoria visit (March 6th)
Two weeks ago we went to see Pastor Tim Reist and his family in Peoria, IL for a surprise 40th birthday party. Leanne Kelle and her two kids went with us. The Greens were supposed to go as well, but Jeff was extremely sick and they were not able to make it. We had a great time even though it was a short weekend. The kids did really well considering we had two infants and two toddlers in a van with three adults. The dvd players we borrowed helped pass the time by for them. Friday night Easton slept his first 6 hr stretch. I was impressed because we were at someone else's house and he was in the pack'n'play. This was the beginning of longer nights to come, I just didn't know it. Christy was nice enough to set us up to spend the night with a wonderful lady named Kathy , since they had family at their house. She was very gracious and the kids loved her. I am so glad we got to share this special birthday with Tim and Christy. I have known him now for 17 years and we continue to maintain a friendship with his family.

10 weeks old
Last week Easton had his 2 mnth check-up. We thought he would be a lot bigger than he ended up being. He weighed 12 lbs 12 oz and was 23 3/4 in long. This ends up being 75% for both height and weight. I can't beleive how quickly he is growing already. A new thing he started doing this week is sucking his thumb. He has been trying to find it for awhile, but just ends up sucking his fist. For the past few days though, I have caught him sucking it more and more. I don't mind a thumb sucker, it is just different since Kenan wasn't attached to anything. I can think of pros and cons for both thumb sucking and pacifier sucking.
